Hey everyone,
I am doing weekly weigh ins right now and last Monday I was at 218.0lbs. Today I am at 215.6lbs! Whew. I can't believe I have actually lost weight this week. I only did one workout at Planet Fitness, and I ate WAY too many oreos this week, but I have been trying to eat smaller portions and more protein. One of my friends suggested that I should eat carbs and protein in the morning, less carbs for lunch and none at dinner. I have been trying to keep that in mind when I choose what to eat at each meal.
Unfortunately, I have caught the stomach bug that my husband had this past weekend. I was doing good until I drank his water bottle by accident, whoops! Now my entire torso feels like it's turning into knots. Good news though, my headache from the last 24 hours has finally gone away!
Alright, time to feel better. Bye!

The Biggest Loser
Hello Family, Friends and Anyone Else That May Read This,
I don't know if you all have been watching The Biggest Loser this season but I have become so motivated by it! This season is The Biggest Loser: Challenge America, and it is focused on childhood obesity. I really have a connection to this season and even though before, I had only heard about Jillian Michaels, seeing her in action has really lit a fire in me. She also trained my favorite contestant, Danni.

She started at 258lbs, which is close to what I started at, and she has a similar body type to me. She has lost 64lbs so far and is in ONE-derland! I want that so badly! The picture above is her winning a challenge, her first 5K! Once she was done, she went back to her team mate and ran with her til the end! She is such an amazing person and I think I have picked the best role model for my journey. When she gave away her visit from home, I cried because I knew it was something I would do if I was in her situation and I was so proud of her. It's like you get to know these people so personally without them even knowing how many people are rooting for them!
Anyway, this show has inspired me and my husband to sign up for Planet Fitness, which is the gym that has teamed up with The Biggest Loser. I drive past it every day to and from work, and I couldn't believe it was only $10 a month and no commitment! Plus free personal trainers. I had my first workout there today, and I can honestly say, it was amazing!

I felt like I wasn't being judged and that I could really do this. I did my first ever 30 minute elliptical workout without stopping and I just kept telling myself that I had already achieved so much. That I could feel my legs burning but they were not going to give out. I felt so accomplished by the end of the workout that I couldn't wait to do more! I workout out in the 30 minute circuit training section and finished with 7 minutes on the treadmill. I still have a fear of treadmills but I am hoping to get past that soon. I also signed up for a "create your own workout" with a personal trainer for Friday morning, and picked up info on a 5K in downtown Anaheim, this coming June! It will be my very first goal, and I will feel just as accomplished as Danni did! (If anyone wants to sponsor me, I would not say no!)
Here's to getting my life back! Ps. You can watch The Biggest Loser on NBC on Monday nights, I use my ipad app to watch it whenever I can.
xoxo,
M

How Time Flies
It has been over a year since I started this blog. I was so motivated last year and I failed so miserably. My current weight is 218 lbs. Yup, I gained weight since I started my weight loss blog. So, I am here to change my blog, this will just be a lifestyle blog. A mommyhood, wife, and woman blog. So today, I wanted a healthier eating option for myself and my daughter. We had eggs and tomatoes for breakfast, and I made some granola snacks via pinterest. Which actually turned out great!

I took this recipe and used Karo syrup instead of maple and added honey and a little more vanilla extract. Nick and I both loved them but they are really for Charlotte. Instead of cookies or chips she can have granola bites! Yay! I feel like a good mommy.
Now, our exercise of the day is gardening. We are re-doing the backyard. So a little sweaty but that's ok ;) every Monday I will be weighing in to track my weight. Hope you all can join me in a new year of life!
Xoxo,
M
